You are cordially invited to the InterCommunity 2015 (8 July, 8-16), Internet Society’s first virtual meeting of our entire community, which is being designed to celebrate the Internet’s ability to rise beyond boundaries and bring people together.
For all ISOC members in Switzerland there is a unique chance to attend the happening together with other members locally either in Geneva or Zurich.
In addition the the global program we offer interesting Add-On sessions on privacy and surveillance at both locations including lunch. We will be connected with Amsterdam, Istanbul, Geneva and Zurich, where each node with present on a current hot topic. From Switzerland
National Councilor (Nationalrat) Balthasar Glättli will provide us with an update on the latest proposals for new surveillance acts in Switzerland (BÜPF and NDG) that are heavily debated in the current parliamentary session.
From Istanbul we will get insight to "Privacy, Censorship and Surveillance under Turkish Law and Practice: An Overview of a Problematic Decade", in a country where freedom in Internet has been put on stake by National government for several times.
