Dear ISOC Switzerland members and friends, The referendum of the Swiss-ID is approaching. Whilst political parties overwhelmingly support a YES vote, we believe it is important to remain both critical and cautious. Digitization brings opportunities, but it also carries inherent risks and dangers especially when progress and innovation become the top priority. No one denies that risk exists, regardless of position, and indeed they always will. The ISOC-CH board and the Public Policy Aspects Committee have collectively written a text highlighting key concerns that, in our view, deserve careful consideration before voting in the referendum.
