Dear ISOC-CH members and friends,
This is a period in which digital rights are under huge pressure and there
is a lot to do to raise awareness and strive for policies that promote
privacy, security, and digital sovereignty.
ISOC-CH in the context of the NGI0 Commons project has announced a job
position searching for a “policy expert on digital sovereignty and the cloud”:
https://www.isoc.ch/isoc-ch-is-hiring-application-process-is-open/
> Please forward this to anyone who might be interested. The deadline for
application is August 30th.
Moreover, the ISOC-CH board has decided to join the Netzwerk SDS, that is
“The network for a sovereign digital Switzerland.” (Netzwerk für eine
souveräne digitale Schweiz) in order to support the development of strong,
independent digital infrastructures that align with our mission of privacy
and digital sovereignty. .
> Please let us know if you have any ideas or concerns about ISOC-CH's
official engagement with this network.
In this context, ISOC-CH is closely following the campaigns around the E-ID
referendum.
For this, we dedicated our Public Policy Sessions 2025 event, featuring a
very interesting panel that you can watch here: https://isoc.live/18882/
> We are currently preparing an overview on the most relevant initiatives
that you can support such as the E-ID-Gesetz-NEIN, which you can also
directly support: https://e-id-gesetz-nein.ch/#spenden
