[ISOC-CH Ann] After-work discussion on "Society, Internet, and Privacy"

Dear ISOC Switzerland members, Are social networks and privacy antagonistic? The social networking phenomenon has indeed changed the nature of respect for privacy, making it possible for an organization to have a systematic access to personal information. Without demonizing their use, it is advisable to know the dangers, and to respect certain principles in order to regain control of one's digital identity. We'd like to invite you to join our 1st thematic presentation and discussion in Geneva. Fabien Jacquier, an IT security company CEO based in Geneva will introduce the subject through a few concrete examples, for the following discussion. This is a rather informal event, which offers you the opportunity to meet other people interested in these topics or simply curious to know more. DATE / TIME: Thursday, 16. Le phénomène des réseaux sociaux a en effet changé la nature des problèmes posés par la question du respect de la vie privée, rendant possible à une organisation d'avoir un accès systématique aux informations personnelles. Sans diaboliser leur utilisation, il convient d'en connaitre les dangers, et de respecter certains principes afin de reprendre le contrôle de son identité numérique. Nous aimerions vous inviter à vous joindre à notre 1ère présentation thématique et sa discussion, à Genève. Fabien Jacquier, gérant d'une entreprise de sécurité informatique basée à Genève introduira le sujet par le biais de quelques exemples concrets, pour la discussion qui suivra. Dear ISOC-CH members, We'd like to invite you to join our next regional After-Work Drink meeting in Zurich. This is an informal event, which offers you the opportunity to meet other ISOC-CH members as well as provide input to the Chapter's Board on your wishes and expectations from ISOC-CH. - Date: Tuesday, 21.
